Many couples now send online wedding invitations, either to the whole guest list or alongside printed cards. They arrive instantly, cost nothing to post and take a guest a minute to answer. Every reply also lands in one list, with no response cards to open and tally.
With GatherRibbon you can email the invitation to up to 500 guests, see who has opened it, and send reminders only to the guests who haven’t replied. Guests can choose a meal and answer up to five questions of your own, such as song requests or dietary needs. When it’s time for the seating chart, export everything to CSV.
Send save the dates six to eight months ahead, or up to a year for a destination wedding. Send the wedding invitations six to eight weeks before the day, with an RSVP date three to four weeks before the wedding. That leaves time to follow up and confirm numbers.

Yes. Digital invitations are widely accepted, especially for guests who live far away. Some couples post printed invitations to older relatives and send a link to everyone else, so every RSVP still ends up in one list.
Three to four weeks before the wedding is standard. Caterers and venues usually need a final headcount about two weeks out, and the gap gives you time to follow up.
Yes. Add up to six meal options and each guest picks one with their RSVP. You can also ask your own questions, and every answer is included in the CSV export.
Traditionally no. Put them on your wedding website, and add the website to your invitation message instead.
