December calendars fill up faster than any other month, so the best Christmas party invitation is an early one. Choose a design that matches your party, whether it’s a cozy cookie swap, an ugly-sweater night or a candlelit dinner, and give guests the details they need to say yes before their weekends are gone.
Email the invitation to your guest list right from GatherRibbon, see who has opened it, and send a friendly reminder to anyone who hasn’t replied. If plans change, update the invitation once and everyone sees the new details at the same link.
Send Christmas party invitations four to six weeks ahead, ideally by mid-November. Early December weekends are the most competitive of the year, and guests often commit to the first invitation that arrives.

Join us for Christmas brunch and a gift swap. Bring one wrapped gift (around $25) to exchange. Sunday, Dec 20 · 11 am
Four to six weeks ahead. For a party on the first or second weekend of December, aim for early to mid-November.
State the format and a spending limit: “Bring a wrapped gift around $25 for our white elephant swap.” A choice question in your RSVP (“Joining the gift swap?”) tells you who’s in.
Use whatever fits your guests. For mixed groups and workplaces, “holiday party” is more inclusive, and our holiday party designs are made for exactly that.
